mailbx is an app that allows apartment managers to send push and text notifications to those residents who have the mailbx app. This enables residents to know when mail has arrived and to avoid calling the office, or waiting for the mail carrier to finish distributing mail.
Our founder lived in an apartment was was sick of walking out to his mail box sometimes 3x a day to check if the mail had arrived - after his apartment manager got sick of him calling to check. mailbx is a must for both managers and residents!
It is free for Apartment Complexes to implement and use mailbx.

Not at all. The informed Delivery app simply shows you what mail you are receiving daily, while mailbx informs you WHEN mail has arrived. They are great hand-in-hand and we can help you set up Informed Delivery.
Someone from the apartment complex will send the alert. They are designated as the mailbx admin for that complex and simply tap "Mail's Here" when logged in. Admins can usually see when the mail carrier has arrived to the mailboxes, or the mail carrier can come into the office to tell them the mail has arrived. But most likely when the mail carrier brings in the office's mail the admin will take notice and press "Mail's Here", which sends out the alert to all subscribed residents.
